More fake feedback for Barclay
Enterprises
Back to Barclay Enterprises faked
reviews
On 7/19/08 a buyer leaves Barclay Enterprises a
neutral feedback at Amazon with just a simple "Thanks"
Most likely it was just a buyer that felt 3 stars was average and didn't feel
that his simple battery purchase was anything negative (1-star) or amazing
(5-star)
Obviously this bothered Barclay quite a bit!
Just 4 Days later Barclay responds with this:
"Your welcome? Did not respond to our request(s) for
details why he left neutral feedback."
Apparently they noticed this right away and emailed the buyer (more than once).
There are no notifications, so to even spot this feedback Barclay would need to
actually check his feedback, email the buyer (several times)..... then wait
before leaving a reply that they never responded. (all in 4 entire days)
What happens next?
Well, notice how feedbacks for Barclay don't come in too quickly directly before
or after that 3 star feedback. (About one per month) We know Barclay falsifies
reviews, recommendations and feedback. It's sometimes hard to spot but it's
definitely there....
Directly after the 3-star review Barclay receives this:
"One of the four batteries developed a leak. However, when I contacted them about this they sent four new ones."
Now, we have seen well over 1000 of these batteries they sell, of all different brands and quality... some of them many years old. We have yet to see a single one develop a leak. Not one! However Barclay apparently sent out FOUR new replacements when a customer mentions ONE sprang a leak!? Of course we cannot prove this is fake but it sure seems suspicious!.... and it follows Barclays typical pattern of claiming amazing customer service on almost every recommendation that is an obvious fake.
Next!
2 months later... we have the known fake feedback from the 'buyer' in
Brazil!
"Great customer service. When I didn't receive my order, they mailed me a new one, no questions asked. All questions were promptly answered by e-mail."
We know this is fake because Amazon would not let a buyer in Brazil buy anything from Barclay's Amazon account without a US or Canadian address... not to mention how many other obvious problems there were with his review of the product itself. Notice how this is yet another buyer that claims Barclay replaced an order "no questions asked" to Brazil no less!
Now what?
Lets assume that the very suspicious feedback on 8/5 was real.... we know the 10/5
feedback was fake so the next potential real feedback is well over 4 months
later, on Christmas Eve 12/24
"I have used Barclay a number of times for phone repairs, excellent company. I especially like their concern for the environment. Highly recommend."
In of itself, this feedback seems reasonable. But I ask... why did someone who has dealt with Barclay directly "a number of times" end up buying a battery from them on Amazon. Why not go directly to the seller that you have already dealt with?
What makes this more suspicious is the next few feedbacks... boom boom boom 12/24 12/25 12/26 Merry Christmas! ....still not higher than Priority One's Amazon feedback!? boom 12/31 Happy New Year!
Did Barclay receive no legitimate feedbacks for over 4 months and then suddenly receive 4 in a row all around the Christmas holiday?!? I don't know about this... cordless phone batteries are not exactly the perfect Christmas gift. I have a feeling someone had some spare time around the holidays to drum up a few fake feedbacks from friends or relatives.
