Solves the 1 key problem, exactly as advertised
The product is exactly as advertised, and solves the "1" key problem nicely. I purchased 3 repair membranes for my 3 phones and had no problems following the installation instructions.

I'm aware of the previous "customer" review which is obviously a competitor throwing sand at the product -- there certainly is more than one way to solve the flawed keypad problem, and I'm sure the competitor's replacement keypad also works fine, but I would never purchase a product from a company which resorts to such destructive advertising tactics.

Even though replacing the entire keypad would also be effective, I can see how this product can help in the long run, by completely sealing the contact area to avoid gunk build-up (something a replacement keypad won't do). I was also pleased to see that the adhesive is 3M. In the end, if your keypad is in good shape and not oozing oil (mine were all perfect), this keypad repair membrane is an excellent solution for the "1" problem.

I received excellent customer service from the Barclay's, with all my e-mails promptly answered. When my order didn't arrive, they sent me another set, no questions asked. If you have questions about this product and whether or not it is the best solution for your case, I'm sure you can contact them and you'll get the same great service I got. Why is this review an obvious fake?

	First, this "customer" is from São Paulo, Brazil yet can write in perfect American English. While not impossible, this is quite unlikely.
	The KX-TG4000b system was not available for sale outside of the US and Canada.
	Barclay's Amazon Pad Mate is not available to ship outside the US and Canada. (See here) Amazon would not let someone without a US ship-to address buy this, so how did he do it and why through Amazon? We know he purchased them through Amazon because he left feedback as well as a review. (see here)
	He claims to be an engineer which explains his extensive keypad knowledge. But notice how he claims all 3 of his keypads were free of oil and "gunk" but then emphasizes how the 3M adhesive will block this "gunk" while a replacement keypad would not. How does he even know about "gunk"? This is a term Barclay uses extensively, yet it does not appear in the Amazon listing even one time. Is "Gunk" even a word that a British Brazilian would use? Not sure, but it's certainly one Barclay uses. Regardless, if he does not have even a slight "gunk" problem how does he know our real improved keypad (which he has not seen) will not solve it?
	The review is just too good to be true. It touches on every aspect Barclay loves to push and bashes the competition while putting doubt on the effectiveness of a complete replacement keypad. To top it off, this "customer" in Brazil, had problem with the shipment and Barclay sent a new order out right away.
	This is the reviewers first Amazon review. We make a comment of the review 13 days later on a Friday and by Monday morning the reviewer notices this and returns to defend himself. No emails are sent to alert people about review comments or even reviews themselves. Review comments are very difficult to even spot. Why did he return two weeks later to respond to our comment?
	Lastly, Barclay knows that Priority One is a family run business. Barclay knows that the review comment is from a Jordan. The "customer" has no idea. While the "customer" is responding to every comment Priority One made and not Ben Jordan's comment, he starts off his reply with "Dear Mr. Jordan,"

How do we know this review is a fake?

That's easy. When the original keypad fails virtually every last one has oil build-up, AKA "gunk". We have repaired over 10 thousand of these phones. I could count all the problem keypads that did not have oil build up on one hand. For this customer to have THREE 8-year old phones with bad keypads and not one with "gunk" build-up??? It's just not going to happen, period!

Let's look at direct reviewer quotes.

What is this "gunk build-up" he is talking about? He admits to not having seen any "gunk". How does he know a product he also has not seen "won't do" it? Then later, he claims that if his keypads were "oozing oil" he would have chosen a different product. Completely contradicting himself!

He used the word "gunk". A word that Barclay uses constantly to explain the oil build-up that Barclay falsely claims is human spit. A word that was not in the Amazon listing even one time.

I'm not too fond of Barclay's advertising either. They could do a better job... I also recall the ads you mention stating that they replace (or replaced, I don't know) the keypads with new ones. But I don't see ANYTHING wrong about this alternative solution they offer here. Yes, the ads do seem to point in different directions. But this doesn't mean that THIS product does not work exactly as advertised here, and is NOT misrepresented as you state.

A clear attempt to fool us into doubting this is Barclay himself typing. He is in doubt of Barclay's advertising (has seen the contradictions) yet purchases the product anyway regardless of our review, without even attempting to contact us first. He claims that the advertisement is not misrepresented as we state, yet we state nothing that is not obvious or that he cannot verify himself.

English and Spanish are taught as foreign language in most schools, although only a small percentage of residents exhibit a high degree of fluency in either language.

I own and have been using a KX-TG4000B for about 8 years and like it, even with its quirks. I found Barclay's when I was looking for service for it, since this model is not serviced in Brazil AFAIK.

I don't have to prove anything to anybody. I just felt that an unfair review (and now a paranoid reply) to what seems to be a good product needed a counterpoint. You can be sure that if the product proves defective in any way I'll be the first one to add a note to correct my review.

Actually, I'm really amused with all this nonsense... what exactly is the size of the market for KX-TGA400B keypads? I guess you and Mr. Barclay have personal issues, and I won't stay in the middle. Have a nice day!
